How to Use a Booster Pack Safely and Effectively

A dead battery can happen to anyone, but with a booster pack, you can get back on the road quickly without needing another vehicle for a jump-start. Here's a step-by-step guide to safely using a booster pack.

Start by checking the battery for any damage or leaks. If you notice corrosion or cracks, do not attempt to jump-start it. Make sure your car is completely off, including lights and accessories, before connecting the booster pack.

Attach the red (positive) clamp to the positive terminal of the battery and the black (negative) clamp to an unpainted metal surface on the engine block. Turn on the booster pack and wait a few seconds for it to transfer power. Then, try starting the car. If it doesn't start right away, wait a minute and try again.

Once the engine is running, turn off the booster pack and remove the clamps in reverse order, starting with the black clamp followed by the red. Let the engine run for at least 10-15 minutes to help recharge the battery.

A booster pack is a great tool to have in your car, especially in colder months when batteries are more likely to struggle. Keep it charged and ready, and you'll never be stranded with a dead battery again.
